Is this the right cable for my car?
Type 2 is the inlet on virtually every EV and plug-in hybrid sold in the UK since around 2018. If your car is recent, this is almost certainly the one.
7.4kW or 22kW?
7.4kW is full-speed charging for single-phase cars and homes, which is almost everyone. 22kW only charges faster if your car has a three-phase onboard charger and you have a three-phase supply; otherwise it's future-proofing.

Tethered cables have the car-end connector permanently attached, so there's nothing loose to lose and it's quick to grab and go.
