Skywell BE11
Charging cable
Charges about 50% faster on 22 kW public posts than a 7.4 kW cable.
Why this fits your BE11+−
The Skywell BE11 has a Type 2 inlet and a three-phase 11kW onboard charger. The 22kW cable carries its full 11kW on three-phase chargers. A 7.4kW cable would cap it. On a single-phase home wallbox both cables charge at the same 7.4kW.
Which Skywell BE11 versions does it fit?+
This cable fits every Skywell BE11, because they all share the same Type 2 charging inlet. That includes:
- Skywell BE11 Long Range
- Skywell BE11 Standard Range
Whichever BE11 trim you drive, it is the same cable, so you can order with confidence.

How long does it take?
Charging
the Skywell BE11.
The Skywell BE11 is a Chinese-built electric SUV imported to the UK through Innovation Automotive from 2023. It is offered in two battery sizes: a standard range model with around 72kWh and a long range version with an 86kWh pack. Both variants charge via a Type 2 inlet for AC and a CCS port for DC rapid charging at up to around 80kW. The BE11 sits in the larger end of the SUV market and represents one of the newer Chinese EV entrants to UK roads.
Charging at home or at a public AC station requires a Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The BE11's onboard AC charger accepts up to 11kW on three phases, putting it alongside more established rivals in terms of AC charging capability. DC rapid charging is handled by the charger's own tethered cable at compatible stations.
Estimates based on battery size and charge power. Rapid (DC) times are for a 10 to 80% charge, the way manufacturers quote them. Real-world charging varies with temperature, battery state and the charger itself.
7.4 kW or 22 kW?
Which cable does
the BE11 need?
The BE11 supports up to 11kW AC on three phases. In a standard UK home with a single-phase supply, that ceiling drops to 7.4kW regardless of what cable you use. For most owners a 7.4kW Type 2 lead will extract every kilowatt your home wallbox can deliver, and is the practical default choice.
A 22kW rated cable only makes a real difference if you have a three-phase home supply or regularly charge at 22kW public AC points. At those locations the BE11 will draw up to its 11kW maximum. On a single-phase driveway the two cable ratings behave identically. Choose the 7.4kW option unless you have a specific reason to need three-phase capability.
What does it cost to charge?
Filling the 86kWh long range battery from empty costs roughly £6.50 on an off-peak EV tariff at around 7.5p per kWh, or around £23 at a standard rate of around 27p per kWh. The 72kWh standard range costs proportionally less, around £5 to £5.50 off-peak. Overnight charging on an EV tariff keeps day-to-day running costs low. Always check current energy tariff rates before calculating your own costs.

Skywell BE11 FAQs
Good
questions.
Still not sure? Our team will confirm the right cable for your vehicle.
Contact usWhat length charging cable should I get?+−
5m suits most home and public charge points. Choose 7.5m or 10m if the charge point is far from your car's charging port or you park on the far side of a bay.
What charging cable does the Skywell BE11 need?+−
A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The BE11's onboard AC charger supports up to 11kW on three phases. For a standard UK single-phase home wallbox, a 7.4kW cable delivers the fastest available home speed. A 22kW cable is only worthwhile if you have a three-phase supply or regularly use 22kW public AC charge points.
Can the Skywell BE11 charge at 22kW?+−
No. The BE11's onboard charger tops out at 11kW AC, so 22kW is not achievable whatever cable or charger you use. On a three-phase supply or 22kW public point it will charge at 11kW; on a standard single-phase UK home wallbox it charges at 7.4kW.
How long does the Skywell BE11 take to charge at home?+−
The 86kWh long range version takes around 11 to 12 hours from empty on a 7.4kW single-phase home wallbox, comfortably covered overnight. The 72kWh standard range takes around 9 to 10 hours. On an 11kW three-phase wallbox, times drop to roughly 8 hours and 6.5 hours respectively.
What cable length do I need for the Skywell BE11?+−
A 5m cable works for most home driveways where the charging point is close to where the car parks. Given the BE11's SUV dimensions, if your wallbox is positioned at the far end of the driveway from the charging inlet, a 7m or 10m cable ensures you reach without the lead pulling tight.
