Zeekr X
Charging cable
Charges about 195% faster on 22 kW public posts than a 7.4 kW cable.
Why this fits your X+−
The Zeekr X has a Type 2 inlet and a three-phase 22kW onboard charger. The 22kW cable carries its full 22kW on three-phase chargers. A 7.4kW cable would cap it. On a single-phase home wallbox both cables charge at the same 7.4kW.
Which Zeekr X versions does it fit?+
This cable fits every Zeekr X, because they all share the same Type 2 charging inlet. That includes:
- Zeekr X Core RWD
- Zeekr X Privilege AWD
- Zeekr X Long Range RWD
Whichever X trim you drive, it is the same cable, so you can order with confidence.

How long does it take?
Charging
the Zeekr X.
The Zeekr X is a compact electric SUV, the entry point to the Zeekr range and one of the smaller vehicles wearing the brand's name in European markets. It uses a 64kWh usable battery (from a 69kWh gross pack) and has been available since 2023. Like all current UK-market EVs, it charges through a Type 2 inlet for AC and a CCS port for rapid DC. The lead you supply for charging at home or at public AC points is a Type 2 to Type 2 cable.
The X's onboard AC charger is rated at 22kW on three phases, which is notably generous for a compact SUV. DC rapid charging reaches up to 150kW, delivered through the charge point's own tethered CCS cable rather than a lead you carry. Despite the higher AC rating, the practical home charging speed for most UK owners is still governed by their household supply.
Estimates based on battery size and charge power. Rapid (DC) times are for a 10 to 80% charge, the way manufacturers quote them. Real-world charging varies with temperature, battery state and the charger itself.
7.4 kW or 22 kW?
Which cable does
the X need?
The Zeekr X has a 22kW three-phase onboard AC charger, which is higher than the 11kW maximum on most other compact EVs. Whether this advantage is accessible depends on your home's electricity supply. On a standard single-phase UK home, AC charging is capped at 7.4kW regardless of the car, cable, or wallbox. For the majority of owners, a 7.4kW Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the right answer: it matches the maximum your home setup can deliver.
At a 22kW public AC charge point or with a three-phase home supply, the X can draw its full 22kW, which is a worthwhile speed benefit for a car with a 64kWh battery. If your daily route takes you past 22kW AC public chargers, or if you have three-phase power at home, a 32A three-phase cable makes those sessions noticeably faster. On a single-phase driveway, the same three-phase cable charges no quicker than a standard 7.4kW one.
What does it cost to charge?
Charging the 64kWh battery from empty costs roughly £5 on an off-peak EV tariff at around 7.5p per kWh, and around £17 on a standard domestic rate of around 27p per kWh. For a compact SUV the battery is a reasonable size, and an overnight EV tariff keeps running costs low. Public rapid charging at 45p to 80p per kWh is significantly more expensive and works best as a top-up on longer trips rather than a routine. Check current tariff rates before budgeting.

Zeekr X FAQs
Good
questions.
Still not sure? Our team will confirm the right cable for your vehicle.
Contact usWhat charging cable does the Zeekr X need?+−
The Zeekr X has a Type 2 inlet, so it needs a Type 2 to Type 2 cable for UK home and public charging. It charges on up to three-phase AC at up to 22kW.
What length charging cable should I get?+−
5m suits most home and public charge points. Choose 7.5m or 10m if the charge point is far from your car's charging port or you park on the far side of a bay.
What cable does the Zeekr X need for home charging?+−
A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, matching the standard Type 2 AC inlet on the Zeekr X. For most UK owners on a single-phase home supply, a 7.4kW cable delivers the full home charging speed available. A three-phase cable only adds speed if you have a three-phase supply at home or regularly use 22kW public AC charge points. A 5m cable suits most driveways.
Can the Zeekr X charge at 22kW?+−
Yes, when connected to a three-phase supply. The X's onboard charger supports 22kW on three phases, which stands out in the compact SUV segment. In practice, most UK homes are single-phase and cap AC charging at 7.4kW. The full 22kW rate is available at compatible public AC charge points or at a three-phase home supply.
How long does the Zeekr X take to charge at home?+−
On a standard 7.4kW single-phase home wallbox, the 64kWh battery takes around 9 hours from empty. On a three-phase 22kW supply, that shortens to roughly 3 hours. Overnight charging on a 7.4kW wallbox covers the battery fully in most cases. For DC rapid sessions the X accepts up to 150kW, managed by the station's own tethered CCS cable.
What length cable do I need for the Zeekr X?+−
A 5m cable is the standard choice and works well when the wallbox sits close to where the car parks. If there is a greater distance between the socket and the Zeekr X's charging inlet, or you park in a way that puts the inlet further from the wallbox, a 7m or 10m lead gives comfortable slack. Measure your actual setup before buying.
