Why this fits your No7+

The DS No7 has a Type 2 inlet and a three-phase 22kW onboard charger. The 22kW cable carries its full 22kW on three-phase chargers. A 7.4kW cable would cap it. On a single-phase home wallbox both cables charge at the same 7.4kW.

Which DS No7 versions does it fit?+

This cable fits every DS No7, because they all share the same Type 2 charging inlet. That includes:

  • DS No7 Etoile
  • DS No7 Pallas
  • DS No7 La Premiere

Whichever No7 trim you drive, it is the same cable, so you can order with confidence.

How long does it take?

Charging
the DS No7.

The DS No7 is a fully electric SUV revealed in early 2026 and set to succeed the DS 7 line, built on Stellantis's STLA Medium platform. Entry-specification cars carry a 74kWh battery, with a larger long-range variant expected to follow. It charges through a Type 2 inlet for AC and a CCS port for DC, with DC rapid charging rated at up to 160kW on the standard battery. These are early announced specifications and should be verified at the time of purchase.

For home and public AC charging you use a Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The onboard AC charger is 11kW operating on three phases, and some specifications are expected to offer a 22kW option. In the UK the vast majority of home supplies are single-phase, capping home charging at 7.4kW. At a three-phase public AC point the car can access its full 11kW, or higher if the 22kW option is fitted.

7.4 kW or 22 kW?

Which cable does
the No7 need?

For the typical UK owner on a single-phase home supply, a 7.4kW Type 2 to Type 2 cable covers all home charging needs and is the most practical choice. The No7's 11kW onboard charger exceeds what single-phase allows, so the cable rating is irrelevant at home; the supply is the bottleneck. At 7.4kW, the 74kWh battery charges from empty in roughly 10 to 11 hours overnight.

If you have access to a three-phase supply or plan to charge regularly at 22kW public AC stations, a 22kW cable lets the No7 pull its full 11kW at those locations. If DS's expected 22kW onboard charger option is available on your trim, that cable would be needed to benefit from it at three-phase AC points. On any standard single-phase home the 7.4kW cable charges at the same speed as a 22kW one.

What does it cost to charge?

Charging the 74kWh battery from empty costs roughly £5.50 on an off-peak EV tariff of around 7.5p per kWh, and around £20 at a standard rate of around 27p per kWh. Overnight charging on a dedicated EV tariff is by far the most economical approach. Public DC rapid charging at 45p to 80p per kWh adds up quickly and is best kept for longer journeys. Always check current tariff rates, particularly as the DS No7 is a recently announced model.

Contact us
What charging cable does the DS No7 need?+

The DS No7 has a Type 2 inlet, so it needs a Type 2 to Type 2 cable for UK home and public charging. It charges on up to three-phase AC at up to 22kW.

What length charging cable should I get?+

5m suits most home and public charge points. Choose 7.5m or 10m if the charge point is far from your car's charging port or you park on the far side of a bay.

What cable does the DS No7 need for home charging?+

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. On a standard UK single-phase home supply a 7.4kW cable delivers the full available home-charging rate. If your home has a three-phase supply or you regularly use 22kW public AC points, consider a 22kW cable to reach the car's 11kW onboard AC rate.

Can the DS No7 charge at 22kW?+

The standard onboard charger is 11kW on three phases. A 22kW option may be available on some trims. In either case the car cannot draw 22kW on AC, and on a UK single-phase home supply the ceiling is 7.4kW regardless. Confirm the spec on your chosen trim before purchase.

How long does the DS No7 take to charge at home?+

On a 7.4kW single-phase wallbox, the 74kWh battery takes around 10 to 11 hours from empty, fitting an overnight charge. On a three-phase supply at 11kW, the same charge takes around 7 hours. DC rapid charging at up to 160kW is much quicker for top-ups on longer trips, using the charger's tethered cable.

Are the DS No7 specs confirmed?+

The DS No7 was revealed in early 2026 and was announced with a 74kWh battery, 11kW AC, and 160kW DC charging. A larger long-range variant is expected. As with any newly announced model, specifications may change ahead of or after launch. Always confirm details with DS or your dealer before purchasing charging equipment.
