Why this fits your E-Scudo+

The Fiat E-Scudo has a Type 2 inlet and a single-phase 7.4kW onboard charger. A 7.4kW cable already delivers its full AC speed. The 22kW option only helps if your next car charges faster.

Which Fiat E-Scudo versions does it fit?+

This cable fits every Fiat E-Scudo, because they all share the same Type 2 charging inlet. That includes:

  • Fiat E-Scudo 50 kWh
  • Fiat E-Scudo 75 kWh

Whichever E-Scudo trim you drive, it is the same cable, so you can order with confidence.

How long does it take?

Charging
the Fiat E-Scudo.

The Fiat E-Scudo is a medium-sized all-electric panel van, in production from 2022 and built on the same Stellantis platform as the Citroen e-Dispatch and Peugeot e-Expert. It is available with two battery options: a 50kWh pack for shorter rounds and a 75kWh pack for operators needing greater range between charges. Both versions support DC rapid charging at up to 100kW via a CCS connector, and charge on AC through a Type 2 inlet.

When connecting to a wallbox or a public AC charger, the cable you need is a Type 2 to Type 2 lead. The E-Scudo's standard onboard AC charger is rated at 7.4kW on a single phase, with an 11kW three-phase option available. DC rapid charging, at up to 100kW, uses the tethered cable at the rapid charger and does not require a cable you bring.

Both battery sizes support up to 100kW DC rapid charging. The 50kWh variant charges noticeably faster on AC from empty. Rapid (DC) times are for a 10 to 80% charge, the way manufacturers quote them. Real-world charging varies with temperature, battery state and the charger itself.

7.4 kW or 22 kW?

Which cable does
the E-Scudo need?

The standard E-Scudo has a 7.4kW single-phase onboard charger, which matches the output of a standard UK wallbox. A 7.4kW Type 2 cable delivers the van's full AC charging speed: the 50kWh battery takes around seven hours from empty, and the 75kWh version around ten hours, both comfortably within an overnight window. For most operators, a 7.4kW cable is the sensible starting point.

If the van is fitted with the optional 11kW three-phase charger, it can draw 11kW when connected to a three-phase supply at a depot or public AC point rated at 22kW. On a standard single-phase connection the speed stays at 7.4kW regardless. A 22kW-rated cable is worth specifying only if your regular charging locations have three-phase infrastructure and the van has the optional charger fitted.

What does it cost to charge?

Filling the 75kWh battery from empty costs roughly £6 on an off-peak EV tariff of around 7.5p per kWh, or around £20 at a standard rate of around 27p per kWh. The 50kWh version costs around £4 or £14 respectively. For a commercial vehicle, overnight charging on a business EV tariff keeps running costs well below diesel. Check current tariff rates.

Good

Contact us
What length charging cable should I get?+

5m suits most home and public charge points. Choose 7.5m or 10m if the charge point is far from your car's charging port or you park on the far side of a bay.

What charging cable does the Fiat E-Scudo need?+

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable for wallboxes and public AC chargers. The standard E-Scudo charges at 7.4kW on a single phase, so a 7.4kW cable suits most setups. If your van has the optional 11kW three-phase charger and you use three-phase charge points, a 22kW-rated cable supports the full 11kW draw.

What is the difference between the 50kWh and 75kWh Fiat E-Scudo?+

The 50kWh battery suits shorter daily routes and charges more quickly from empty on AC, taking around seven hours at 7.4kW. The 75kWh battery extends range for longer rounds but takes around ten hours to fill at the same rate. Both share the same Type 2 AC inlet and CCS DC connector.

Can the Fiat E-Scudo charge at 22kW?+

No. The standard E-Scudo onboard charger is rated at 7.4kW single-phase. The optional upgrade is 11kW on three phases. Neither version reaches 22kW, and connecting to a 22kW charger will not increase the charging speed beyond what the onboard charger accepts.

How does DC rapid charging work on the Fiat E-Scudo?+

The E-Scudo supports DC rapid charging at up to 100kW via a CCS connector. DC rapid charging uses the tethered cable at the rapid charging station, not a cable you purchase. At 100kW, a 30-minute stop can add a substantial amount of range to either battery size, useful for mid-day top-ups on busier routes.
