Charge speeds

Across the Lamborghini range.

Every Lamborghini here uses a Type 2 inlet, so one Type 2 to Type 2 cable fits the range. On-board AC charging ranges from about 7kW to 7.2kW depending on the model. A cable never charges faster than your car's on-board charger or your home supply allows, so on a standard single-phase UK home a 7.4 kW cable gives the full speed available.

Speeds are on-board AC limits. Rapid DC uses the station's own cable.

Charging guide

Charging
your Lamborghini.

Lamborghini's current electrified range consists of two plug-in hybrid models: the Revuelto supercar and the Urus SE SUV. Both use a Type 2 inlet for AC charging, so they both take a Type 2 to Type 2 cable. Neither model is a full BEV, and no Lamborghini uses a Type 1 inlet.

AC charging on both models is single-phase and relatively modest. The Urus SE tops out at 7.2kW and the Revuelto at 7.0kW. Their batteries are sized primarily to add electric-only range and performance boost rather than extended all-electric driving. Pick your model below for its specific charge times and recommended cable, or read the brand-wide guidance underneath.

What charging cable does a Lamborghini need?

Both current Lamborghini plug-in hybrids use a Type 2 inlet, so the cable you need is a Type 2 to Type 2. A 5m length is appropriate for most charging situations. Longer options exist if you need extra reach, but a 5m cable is the practical starting point.

Neither the Revuelto nor the Urus SE has a three-phase onboard charger. The Urus SE charges at 7.2kW single-phase, and the Revuelto at 7.0kW single-phase. A standard 7.4kW cable is already at or just above the maximum each car can draw on AC, so there is no benefit in buying a larger or higher-rated cable. A 22kW cable would provide no speed gain on either model.

In short, a 5m 7.4kW Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the correct and complete solution for both Lamborghini plug-in hybrids. The Revuelto's 3.8kWh battery will charge fully in well under an hour at that rate, while the Urus SE's larger 25.9kWh pack charges fully in around four hours.

Do all Lamborghini PHEVs use a Type 2 charging cable?+

Yes. Both the Revuelto and the Urus SE use a Type 2 inlet and take a Type 2 to Type 2 cable for AC charging. Neither model needs a Type 1 cable, and there are no fully electric Lamborghinis at present.

What charging cable does a Lamborghini Urus SE need?+

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable, 5m for most situations. The Urus SE has a 7.2kW single-phase onboard charger, so a 7.4kW cable is already above its maximum rate. A larger cable offers no speed advantage. Its 25.9kWh battery charges fully in roughly four hours on a home wallbox.

What cable does a Lamborghini Revuelto need?+

A Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The Revuelto has a 7.0kW single-phase onboard charger and a small 3.8kWh battery, so it charges quickly at home. A 7.4kW cable is more than adequate. There is no benefit in using a larger cable as the car cannot charge any faster on AC.

Can a Lamborghini charge at 22kW?+

No. Neither the Revuelto nor the Urus SE can charge at 22kW on AC. Both are single-phase models with a maximum AC rate below 7.4kW. A 22kW cable would deliver no more speed than a standard 7.4kW cable on either car.

What length cable do I need for my Lamborghini?+

5m suits most home charge points and public AC sockets. If you are charging from a wallbox in a garage or on a driveway at some distance from the car, 7m or 10m gives extra reach. Longer cables are heavier and cost more, so only choose the extra length if the situation genuinely requires it.
