Peugeot e-Expert
Charging cable
The e-Expert is single-phase 7.4kW as standard. If you specified the optional 11kW three-phase charger, you need the 22kW cable to use it.
Full AC charging speed for your car.
Why this fits your e-Expert+−
The Peugeot e-Expert has a Type 2 inlet and a single-phase 7.4kW onboard charger. A 7.4kW cable already delivers its full AC speed. The 22kW option only helps if your next car charges faster.
Which Peugeot e-Expert versions does it fit?+
This cable fits every Peugeot e-Expert, because they all share the same Type 2 charging inlet. That includes:
- Peugeot e-Expert 50 kWh
- Peugeot e-Expert Combi Long 50 kWh
- Peugeot e-Expert Combi Long 75 kWh
- Peugeot e-Expert Combi Compact 50 kWh
- Peugeot e-Expert Combi Standard 50 kWh
- Peugeot e-Expert Combi Standard 75 kWh
Whichever e-Expert trim you drive, it is the same cable, so you can order with confidence.

How long does it take?
Charging
the Peugeot e-Expert.
The Peugeot e-Expert is a mid-size electric panel van available in the UK since 2020, offered in Standard, Long, and Combi body lengths. Two battery sizes are on offer: a 50kWh pack in the shorter Combi and Standard variants, and a 75kWh pack in Long and Combi Long versions. All variants charge through a Type 2 inlet for AC and a CCS port for rapid DC, so the cable you bring for day-to-day top-ups is a Type 2 to Type 2 lead.
The standard onboard AC charger handles 7.4kW on a single phase, though certain configurations are available with an 11kW three-phase option. DC rapid charging on public networks reaches up to 100kW and uses the charger's own tethered CCS cable, not one you provide.
Select your battery version above. The 50kWh pack reaches a useful charge more quickly on the same AC supply. Rapid (DC) times are for a 10 to 80% charge, the way manufacturers quote them. Real-world charging varies with temperature, battery state and the charger itself.
7.4 kW or 22 kW?
Which cable does
the e-Expert need?
Most e-Expert operators will find a 7.4kW Type 2 cable covers everything they need at a home wallbox or standard public AC point. The standard onboard charger draws a maximum of 7.4kW, so upgrading to a 22kW cable on a single-phase supply makes no difference to charging speed.
If your e-Expert has the optional 11kW three-phase charger, a 22kW three-phase rated cable allows the van to pull its full 11kW at a three-phase public AC point or a three-phase depot charger. On any single-phase supply, including virtually all UK home wallboxes, charging is capped at 7.4kW regardless. If you are uncertain whether your e-Expert has the 11kW option, the 7.4kW cable is the safe, cost-effective default for single-phase use.
What does it cost to charge?
Filling the 75kWh battery from empty on an off-peak fleet or EV tariff at around 7.5p per kWh costs roughly £6; on a standard rate at around 27p per kWh that rises to around £20. The 50kWh battery comes to roughly £4 and £14 respectively. For any fleet running regular routes, overnight charging on a time-of-use tariff makes the most economic sense. Public rapid DC rates are significantly higher per kWh and are best reserved for longer journeys or emergency top-ups. Check current tariffs, as rates vary.

Peugeot e-Expert FAQs
Good
questions.
Still not sure? Our team will confirm the right cable for your vehicle.
Contact usWhat length charging cable should I get?+−
5m suits most home and public charge points. Choose 7.5m or 10m if the charge point is far from your car's charging port or you park on the far side of a bay.
What charging cable does the Peugeot e-Expert need?+−
A Type 2 to Type 2 cable for home wallboxes and public AC charge points. The standard onboard charger is rated at 7.4kW single-phase, so a 7.4kW cable covers that fully. If your van has the optional 11kW three-phase charger, a 22kW cable lets it reach 11kW at three-phase public AC points. DC rapid charging uses the charger's own tethered CCS cable.
Can the Peugeot e-Expert charge at 22kW?+−
No. Even with the optional 11kW three-phase charger, the e-Expert cannot exceed 11kW on AC. A 22kW rated cable will still only deliver a maximum of 11kW to the van, and only then on a three-phase supply. On a standard single-phase UK home wallbox, charging is limited to 7.4kW with any cable.
How long does the Peugeot e-Expert take to charge at home?+−
On a 7.4kW wallbox, the 75kWh battery takes around 10 to 11 hours from empty to full, comfortably covered by an overnight charge. The 50kWh pack takes around 7 hours. On the optional 11kW three-phase charger with a three-phase supply, those times drop to roughly 7 hours and 4.5 hours respectively.
What cable length do I need for the Peugeot e-Expert?+−
A 5m cable suits most fixed home or depot wallbox setups where the van always parks in roughly the same spot. If the charger is set back from the usual parking position, or vehicles park at different angles, a 7m or 10m lead gives you the reach without pulling the cable tight at the connector.
