V2L
discharge cables
A V2L (vehicle-to-load) cable turns a compatible EV into a mobile power source, run tools, appliances and devices straight from the car's battery through the Type 2 inlet. Only certain cars support V2L, so check yours first.

Which cars support V2L?
These 37 models can output power through V2L. A Type 2 inlet alone is not enough, so if your car is not listed it does not support vehicle-to-load.
How it works
How vehicle-to-load
works.
A V2L cable plugs into your car's Type 2 charging inlet and converts the battery's stored energy into a standard mains socket. You can run camping gear, power tools, lighting or charge another EV in a pinch, drawing up to 3.6kW depending on the car.
Not every EV allows it. The car needs the hardware to discharge through the inlet, which is why a Type 2 socket on its own does not guarantee V2L. The models above are confirmed to support it.
